Diploma in Instrument
Experience:
Minimum 5 years Field experience in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, steel industry, which shall include minimum 3 years in maintenance function.
Technical Skills:
Understand wiring diagram, to check or troubleshoot issue in marshalling rack, analyzer house, filed junction box connections or any intermediate JB connections.
Hand on experience on preventive maintenance and ZERO and SPAN calibration of Oxygen analyzer.
Hand on experience and knowledge of FID Analyzers, nondispersive infra red (NDIR) analyzers. Through knowledge and hands on experience of preventive
maintenance and calibration.
Hand on experience on preventive maintenance and calibration of TOC analyzer.
Troubleshoot and repair all analyzers within HC/OC which include Siemens GC's, , ABB (IR's), Multi FID , NDIR ,Thermox (Flue Gas Analyzer), Teledyne (IR), and Analytical Specialties Inc. (TDL).
Perform routine preventive maintenance on analyzers in accordance with schedule such as, replacing cylinders for span, carrier or zero gas.
Perform routine checks and calibration of wide variety of analyzers in petrochemical plants such as H2S,O2, HC,TOC analyzers, gas chromatograph, PH meters, conductivity analyzers.
Check gas/ liquid standards, and carrier bottles for proper pressure.
Identify any repairs needed for the system and replace any part of the process analyzer loop (tubing, valves, fittings, columns, detectors, regulators, etc.) when confirmed by physical examination.
Must have experience in the daily inspection requirements and periodic calibration of Gas Chromatographs and online process analyzer systems.
Must have good troubleshooting skills.
Participate in shutdown maintenance and in house project implementation.
Report or escalate support requirements to supervisor / Senior Supervisor.
On completion of Maintenance activities, ensure that all work history with necessary details and data is entered into the daily report log.
Lead and guide on the job training for Omani trainee technicians to become competent technicians.
Removes defective equipment from system, decontaminates, disassembles, and cleans instruments, and replaces defective parts, using hand tools.
Keep record of calibrations made, parts and components used, and inventory of parts on hand.
Maintaining effective communication and working relationships with inter department and other department.
